I just love Chow Chows

Without much knowledge of the breed as we were concentrated with shih tzus at that time, we started scouting for this loveable breed and since I have always been fascinated with the cream color, the quest to look for our baby chow began....

Going through the different chow chow groups at facebook, i chanced upon this picture of then almost five month old chow named "TALA". Right then and there i knew she had to be mine..  Soon enough, I've contacted her lovely breeder and after some interview, she finally said yes to us and I immediately rented the van of my cousin to fetch this lovely furbaby.

i never thought that she'd look prettier up close... she was with her sibling "UMA" which was being offered to us also but just one look at them and i knew it had to be this one. She was wearing a diaper when we saw her standing by the terrace of her Imus' house as if anticipating guests... it was cuteness overload.  I was hesitant to touch her at first since i was afraid she'll just take my fingers off.  Her 'mommy' gladly instructed that i give her some of her favorite treat - skyflakes.  after some minutes of bonding and feeding... she finally let me touch her until i was able to hug her. Her fur was so fluffy like a cotton candy. After the exchange of pleasantries, we were finally taking her to her new home.... From south to north, This furbaby just turned from a Cavitenya to Bulakenya...

After a few hours of rest and meals, she's finally settled and started playing with us.  She likes to be cuddled a lot and no matter how big and heavy she is, we carry her like a baby.  She stays in the room of course and we have no worries since her Mommy Jhen has potty trained her so well.

What i love most about Tala is that she won't go to the bedroom unless we're home.  She'd usually sit by the gate patiently waiting for us and as always, she'll whimper and pull our shirts if we refuse to hug her first before anything else when we arrive.. She's always been like this and i couldn't count anymore how many of my shirts she's tore because she likes pulling them.

Almost two years later, we decided it's time we have our grand chowdren, so we scouted for a handsome and gorgeous partner for our baby until we finally met this awesome male chow named "Hugo", an import from the United States.

Out of their union, we were blessed with six puppies but since most them are breached puppies and truly big that one of them, a red male didn't survive.  

Now, if only i could keep them all....
